How to get out of a speeding ticket

A few years ago, a friend of mine shared this with me and stated that he had used it to get out of numerous tickets (10+ at least). After he told me, it makes perfect sense. It certainly is not a guarantee, but I do know that it got my brother-in-law of a ticket 2 days ago. He was pulled over for going 49 in a 35 and drove away with a warning. So, use if you want:

First and foremost, you have to put the cop at ease. These days, they are never 100% sure who they pull over in a "routine" traffic stop. So, the sooner they can let their guard down, the better for you. Upon pulling over, roll down both your driver side window and the rear driver side window. Do not roll down the passenger side windows (Front or rear). Rolling down the rear driver side window allows the officer to see in the car sooner (especially at night). Rolling down the passenger side windows "could" indicate that you threw something out the window. Leaving them up shows him you have nothing to hide.

Second, leave your hands on the steering wheel with your license and registration between two of your fingers. When he walks up, hand him both and greet him. He will generally ask you if you know why he pulled you over (or if you know how fast you were going). Always be honest. He knows you were speeding, lying or pretending that you didn't know you were speeding just insults him. So, you would say, "Yes, I was going 49 in a 35" or whatever the situation may be.

Third, he will usually then ask you what your excuse is. At this point, you say you don't have an excuse, but you have a reason. He'll ask you what that reason is and you can make something up. You can be late for an appointment or late for a lunch meeting or late for work...whatever you choose.

I've used this to get out of a ticket before. He took my license and ran it and my plates to make sure I had no other violations. For my brother-in-law, he told him to slow down and gave him a warning. He didn't even check his license. So if you have 3 or 4 speeding tickets, you'll probably be driving away with another ticket.

In any event, there are no certainties, but I think you have a better chance of getting out of it this way than lying after he already knows you were speeding.
