Operation Agua Negra

I found this video on Vimeo last week and has really piqued my interest into this whole blackwater deal. If anything, my interest has to do with an author I've been reading recently, Vince Flynn. More on Flynn later, but he may be the sole reason I ever read a book. Anyway, Blackwater is a private security firm that is causing major headlines over it's role in the Iraq war and a particular incident in September 2007 that lead to 14 civilian deaths. Several news articles say these guys were attacked, others say the opened fire "without provocation". The reason for posting now is because a hearing is set for January 6th and I am really interested to see what happens.

If these guys truly opened fire for no reason, then I think they should be charged with murder and put in jail. If they were attacked, I think they have a right to defend themselves. What is more frustrating is that we will probably never know the full story. The video is interesting and if you make it to about 5 minutes in...let me know if you also want to punch the lady in the face that keeps pronouncing "against" wrong. For her, I have family guy to rely on.

I certainly am not naive to think that I can come up with any solutions from my cozy computer chair. I do, however, hope that the new administration will be clear in their direction regarding the war and what is best for those involved in it.
