sure hope this isn't true...

so viva la vida was by far my favorite album of the year. Coldplay recently release Prospekt's March which has a few remixes and some new songs which are just as good. "Glass of Water" is now my favorite song removing "Death and All his Friends" (it does remain a close second). But "Viva La Vida" was the money maker. Apple did an ad campaign based on it and the song is instantly recognizable. It sold millions of copies...which is why Joe Satriani is suing Coldplay for copyright infringement. Satriani demands damages and "any and all profits" related to the alleged copyright issue. Coldplay maintains it is coincidence. I have to admit it's tough to see how this could be a mere "coincidence". I can't see Satriani getting "all" the profits from this song...but I can see them settling out of court for a nice pay day for Satriani. Regardless, take a listen and see what you think.
