Swine-Flu

Dangerous? yes. Let's all go wash our hands now.

With all of the fear and loathing over "swine flu", a guess a few websites to read up about it are in order. My favorite (Wired Science) has links to all the others. I think my favorite though is all of the "tips" on how to avoid getting swine flu. This is taken from the CDC's website (Swine Flu and You):

What should I do to keep from getting the flu?
First and most important: wash your hands. Try to stay in good general health. Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food. Try not touch surfaces that may be contaminated with the flu virus. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

While I realize this could become a pandemic and people are dying from it...I refuse to succumb to the paranoia over it. The above tips are what you should do to avoid any kind of sickness. While I don't believe in karma, I'll probably end up catching swine flu because I am posting about it. But come on, just be hygienically conscious and you will probably be fine.

The Unforgiven III?

Uh, so not sure how this goes down...but here you go. A low flying plane was seen over NY City yesterday. Of course, as soon as people saw it they were immediately freaked out and had visions of 9/11. So buildings were evacuated, people were a bit hysterical and undoubtedly confused. What was going on? Merely a glamour shoot for Air Force One. I hope Saturday Night live, the Daily show, the Colbert Report and any other comedy show has a field day with this. I mean, there are certain things that are worthy of being automatically fired (and then drug into the streets and beaten senseless): Stealing Billions of dollars from unsuspecting investors (Madoff), being an school teacher and sexually abusing a student (Newfane High School), and approving a photo shoot of a low flying plane over New York City (Wall Street Journal). I can't imagine that Obama knew about this. The man is too intelligent for that. I really really really hope he didn't know about this. Matt Lauer said it best, "I think that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard."

Christian Bale will never live this down

So this is not new...it happened a while ago, but I went back and watched family guy episode the made fun of this and it made me laugh out loud. So the first post is the 'edited' audio from Christian Bales rant. It is only 48 seconds of it and was the only edited version I could find. He sure does like the F word. Below that is family guys parody of it...priceless.
